My client is one of the largest privately-owned beverage manufacturing companies in Australia. All products are Australian made with a strong sustainability plan in place.
About the role
Currently seeking multiple Shift Technicians/Engineers to join a growing team in a state of the art factory. To be successful, you will have experience working as a Maintenance Technician/Engineer in an FMCG manufacturing environment or related industry, a tertiary qualification, and drive and determination to think quickly and stay calm and collected in certain situations.
Roles & Responsibilities
In conjunction with the leadership team, continuously review systems and processes to improve key operational efficiency measures
Identified any parts needed and maintain an inventory of parts in the stockroom
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Support production and site activities to optimise productivity and minimise downtime
Ensure execution of planned maintenance works aligned with plant and resource availability
Timely responses to all breakdown calls during the shift, using high-level fault finding skills to evaluate the cause of the breakdown and implement the best solution to rectify the breakdown
Following planned maintenance activities which includes being actively involved in maintenance planning, plant improvements and projects which will improve plant availability and efficiency
Diagnosing faults and proactively managing breakdowns of equipment or process failures in a timely manner
Ensure safe operating conditions
Supervision of external contractors when on site
Ensure compliance with site quality and food safety programs
Essential Skills & Experience
Understanding of food manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements
Knowledge of business operations including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Knowledge of ISO and HACCP principles
Previous experience working in an environment that utilised high speed packaging equipment, blow moulders and filler lines will be highly regarded
Understanding of safety systems and processes including risks assessment, incident reporting and planned inspections
A trade qualification as a fitter or electrician
Strong ability to build effective internal and external working relationships at all levels
Computer literacy, with well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Current LF licence highly regarded
