The Opportunity

AEP Elical have opened up an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer to become an integral member of a dynamic and rapidly expanding Professional Services Firm. As part of the Mechanical engineering team., you will gain exposure to Advisory and Design activities on a range of exciting projects across the resources and energy sectors. You may be involved in various phases of projects from conceptual design, and feasibility studies, through to detailed engineering and asset management.

About you

To qualify for this role, you will need to have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Be a recent graduate (within the past three years).
  • Demonstrable understanding of the Australian Energy Market.
  • Familiarity with thermal and renewable energy technologies.
  • Developing specifications for design and manufacture of major plant and equipment, including balance of plant.
  • Organising and managing project delivery, preparation of studies, technical reviews, and project controls, including scheduling and cost report reviews.
  • Experience in developing models to forecast changes to the energy market.
  • Experience in modelling of performance of generation technologies.
  • Experience in conducting technical reviews of generation assets on behalf of vendors and investors.
  • Proven ability using engineering software’s such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Development of mechanical designs including analysis of flow characteristics, and piping and system design.
