About the role

Join us as our Automation Quality Engineer to deliver our payments platform. Based in our Enterprise Testing Service area which provides Quality Engineering services to the Technology & Transformation Division in support of the Bank’s change agenda you will develop, maintain, and uplift capability in test automation. You’ll use standard frameworks and processes to simplify the use of test automation, increase the re-usability of components, and improve the ROI.

  • 12 month fixed term contract (you’ll get a salary and access to employee benefits)

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering, uplifting, and maintaining high quality and fit for purpose Continuous Testing solutions to ensure quality and test coverage.
  • Identifying, investigating, and delivering on continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting discoveries by providing expertise as to anticipated impact on testing complexity for a proposed change.
  • Championing the culture of DevOps and the use of automated testing and continuous delivery.
  • Developing all test automation scripting is be aligned with the enterprise test automation framework.
  • Actively participate in the Test Automation Chapter meetings and forums.
  • Clearly communicate and set expectations with all stakeholders.

About you

  • Comprehensive experience with Automated Testing Tools, Frameworks, and processes.
  • Hands on development experience in Java, including object-oriented programming concepts - Selenium, Maven, and Cucumber.
  • Experience with Functional Testing including API Test and Mobile Centre functionality and SoapUI.
  • Working experience in developing utilities/services to facilitate the continuous testing pipeline, ideally you will have experience with New Payment Platforms/Osko.
  • Understanding of the testing lifecycle / TDD/BDD / SDLC methodologies /DevOps and development practices such as Agile and CI/CD.
  • Ideally you will have experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS/Azure.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and rolling out automation frameworks.
