Title: Production Engineer

Allplastics Engineering Pty Ltd is specialising in the precision machining of plastic components, CNC profile routing, and fabrication of various architectural and engineering plastics for industrial, commercial, and domestic applications. We are serving across multiple industries such as construction, marine, defence, transport, food, scientific, pharmaceutical, and many more.
Job Description:
The position is specifically for a Production Engineer, we expect the applicant to be multi-disciplined. We provide thorough training in all aspects of operations. The role of the position is to work within a group of technicians and engineers to develop and commence a customize projects with high quality and satisfaction.
The successful applicant will be employed on a full time.
Key Duties and Responsibility:
- The development of production and maintenance systems and procedures with the objective of maximizing efficiency and productivity
- Focus on activities concerned with designing, planning, analyzing, implementing, and working on other engineering skills
- Management and planning of manufacturing activities
- Ensuring manufacturing equipment and machinery is maintained and operating at optimal efficiency
- Develop a precise and accurate product by analyses and modify established engineering principles and advanced technologies
- Coordinate with sales and production team members for daily project updates and measure work samples to develop future labor utilization strategies and maximize worker efficiency.
- Mentor the new trainee and employees by providing production process knowledge and necessary training to fulfil respective responsibilities and duties.
- Research best practices and improve work procedures and project environment
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering Qualification
- Have a collaborative mindset, with a natural affinity for building cross functional teams and solving problems
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in a production/manufacturing environment or related industry
- Capability of problem-solving by analyzing and implementing engineering techniques Good at thinking outside the box and have an aptitude for innovation
- Be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
- Bring a high level of competency and enthusiasm toward the application of production engineering and lean manufacturing principles
- Be able to skillfully use AutoCAD and/or SOLIDWORKS (or an equivalent design software package for 2D and 3D drawings
- Enthusiasm, willingness to learn and can-do attitude
Desired Characteristics, Competence and Capabilities:
- Hands-on practical ability beneficial
- Experience Multicam CNC programming is highly desirable
- Knowledge of plastic materials properties and characteristics
- Self-directed, and able to work independently to achieve allocated goals
