Crest Personnel is seeking a suitably experienced & degree qualified Materials engineer with specialist hands on knowledge of Materials engineering.

You will be working for an offshore engineering consultancy. This company is expanding its operations worldwide.

About the role

Requirements:

• Materials engineering degree (BSc or MSc)
• Qualified International Welding Engineer (IIW)
• 15+ years of closely related professional experience, 10+ years of which should be at the senior project engineering / engineering supervision level with overall responsibility for materials maintenance and repair
• Strong knowledge of offshore welding processes, NDT methods (including AUT), ECA, linepipe, coating and corrosion assessments
• Some programming experience ideally using the Python language
• Perth based
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Experiences:

• Proven experience with design consultancies and offshore contractors
• Proven experience in offshore pipeline projects in a lead materials role
• Proven package engineering of carbon steel and CRA line pipe, coatings and other subsea components
• Detailed experience in CO2 corrosion modelling
• Experience in managing ECAs

Key Features

• Good experience with subsea pipelines, corrosion assessments and materials selection; writing specifications and contract data sheets. Experience with projects in FEED phase as well as Construction
• Ensure that work carried out meets project plans and procedures required by the Quality Management System
• Originate or check design calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications
• Must be able to travel Nationally and Internationally
