Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position.
BUILDING CERTIFICATION COORDINATOR Re-advertised position (Permanent)
The purpose of this position is to coordinate the functions of the Building Certification Unit which includes the certification of buildings, building fire safety, swimming pool inspection and certification, maintenance of Council's building assets and local government activity approvals. It is the responsibility of the Building Certification Coordinator to ensure that all functions are carried out in accordance with the relevant legislation and standards.
Qualifications: The successful applicant will hold a degree in building surveying or related field and hold an Australian Class C driver licence. Please include copies of all relevant licenses and qualifications with your application.
Skills & Knowledge: The successful applicant will be required to have comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Building Professionals Act 2005 and the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979, with the ability to make appropriate decisions relevant to the circumstances and legislative requirements.
Hours of work: 35 hours per week
Salary and conditions: Commencement annual salary range from $96,067.79 to $105,672.29 (Grade 19) + Superannuation. Rostered day off once a month and a fully maintained leaseback vehicle.
