JOB DESCRIPTION

Support the WHS team with a variety of projects ranging from practical to administrative tasks to ensure daily operations in the wider HR team run smoothly.

Client Details

Working within a body of the State Government for NSW, you will be an integral member of the HR team. This division of parliament is one of the most prestigious and important arms of the government.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • WHS compliance system;
  • Fire Warden and First Aid training;
  • WHS inventory (eg: First Aid/PPE);
  • WHS meetings and training;
  • Safety policies, procedures, noticeboards, events and registers;
  • Contractor documentation; and
  • Adhoc clerical support for WHS/Maintenance Advisor, as required.

Profile

To be successful:

  • Demonstrated experience working in WHS officer position
  • Knowledge and understanding of policy and procedure relevant to WHS
  • Energetic, vibrant and go-getter attitude
  • Goes above and beyond to assist in accomplishing tasks
  • Ability to work well in a team and autonomously
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS office suite especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
