Karridale Group Pty Ltd is a leading services provider to the Australian Resources Industry specialising in major mine site structural, mechanical and piping installations and maintenance.
Karridale Group invites applications for the following position to join our team at the Sino Iron Project on 9/5 (9 days work, 5 days off, 12 hours/day) FIFO roster: Point of Hire : Perth
Mechanical Engineer with Reliability & Mining Equipment Experience (dump trucks, Excavators, drill rigs)
This primary responsibility of this role is providing technical support to all heavy mobile plant and equipment on site whilst leading continuous improvement initiatives in all aspects of engineering, maintenance and reliability in accordance with Company’s and client’s safety, quality and productivity requirements.
Duties and responsibilities for this role include:
- Leading the Defect elimination process on site to improve equipment reliability
- Manage a portfolio of projects that focus on improving safety, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency of our operations
- Understanding and improving the maintenance process from end to end (including input into work management and asset strategies)
- Providing technical support to maintenance execution teams
- Providing reliability and maintenance insight to leadership teams
- Complete and where possible, exceed allocated KPI’s in a timely manner.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical, Reliability or Mechatronics engineering
- Previous experience in mobile equipment maintenance (desirable) or fixed plant maintenance
- Exposure to condition monitoring (desirable)
- Knowledge of Reliability Engineering principles and processes such as RCAs or Defect Elimination
- Experience leading and managing projects
- Competent in the use of Microsoft applications desirable
- A proven track record in mine safety management
- Ability to work in a team oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good interpersonal skills to deal with client, management, team members and site personnel
- Understanding diversity within the work environment is essential
- The ability to pass Pre-employment Medical and D&A Testing
- Willingness of male candidates to be clean shaven for the use of P2 respirators
