Your new company
Our client is one of the top recognised Residential Builders in the Illawarra with a footprint both locally and nationally. Due to their continued growth they currently have an immediate vacancy for an experienced Draftsperson to join their team in the Illawarra.

Your new role
The Draftsperson is responsible for but not limited to:
Contributing to the provision of an unbeatable customer service experience by ensuring all CAD drawings are accurately completed to reflect the customer requirements,including tender variations, in a timely manner and in accordance with current Building regulations, Company Process and Policy.
This position is accountable for interpreting tender documents, in conjunction with council and supply authority documents, to create detailed working drawings necessary to meet customer, legislative and contractual requirements.

What you'll need to succeed
A comprehensive understanding of the residential construction process;
Proficient in the use of CAD drafting packages
Understand the development approval process, including differing legislative avenues for residential dwelling approval;
Internal and external crossfunctional relationships - colleagues, department managers, service providers and Authorities.
Ability to communicate ideas and outcomes, for individual customers homes, to progress files expediently through all departments;
Ensure plans and documentation is aligned to current McDonald Jones drafting and Construction standards, all in accordance with approvals.
An ability to work in a team environment and your exceptional eye for detail is crucial as is excellent customer service and your strong and effective communication skills.
