Our client based at Nerang on the Gold Coast is looking to expand their team due to recent growth and will be looking to take on someone ready to hit the ground running. The opportunity could see the successful candidate - an experienced Trades Assistant RPL'd to Tradesman.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will see the successful candidate join a small workshop alongside tradesmen who are keen to share their knowledge and skills. The work will primarily involve fabrication and using TIG/MIG welding for Steel and Aluminium products. Some of the work you may be involved in are: Stainless BBQ Benches, Commercial Kitchen Benche, Buckets, Canopies, Trolleys, Security Boxes, Stainless Steel Fuel Tanks, Mailboxes, Stainless Steel Railings, Flashings, Drain Trays, Ductwork and Pipework to name a few.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this role you MUST be:

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in Sheetmetal or Qualified in the trade.
• Able to retain information and have the right attitude towards work
• Reliable
• Car & Licence
• Experience in MIG/TIG welding and fabrication
• Forming and shaping
• Reading and interpreting drawings
• Be punctual with a good attendance record
• Be motivated and have a positive attitude
• Sound mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow instructions

• Ability to work safely
• Australian citizen or permanent resident
