This organization is global FinTech who deliver highly secure & innovative cloud-based solutions to some of the world's largest financial services institutions.
THE ROLE:
As a Cloud Engineer you will be involved in the support, maintenance, and enhancement of the infrastructure that hosts the organizations customer-facing solution.
Duties include:
- Build, configure, administer, automate, and enhance the infrastructure that supports the organizations customer-facing platforms hosted in Azure.
- Ensure the ongoing performance, availability, scalability, automation, redundancy, and security of the platforms.
- Work closely with internal development teams to offer support and solutions as needed.
- Operate independently as well as in a team.
- Proactively offer solutions to improve the platform.
- Ensure correct documentation.
- Occasional involvement in customer projects.
ARE YOU A SUITABLE CANDIDATE?
Suitable for a hands-on and technical Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer experienced supporting and enhancing customer facing cloud infrastructure.
Ideal for a someone capable of working with, supporting and provide solutions to internal development teams + occasional interaction with customers.
The following experience / knowledge / qualities are required:
- Strong Windows & Linux Server admin experience
- Strong Cloud admin/configuration skills (preferably Azure IaaS / PaaS)
- Monitoring tool experience - e.g. Prometheus / ELK / Grafana etc
- Good networking knowledge & experience - TCP/IP, IPSEC, VPN, VLAN, DNS/DHCP
- Automation skills - e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, PowerShell, Python etc
- Experience maintaining MS SQL Server
- Docker / Kubernetes is beneficial
- Azure DevOps is beneficial
- Proven ability to work independently and manage your own priorities.
- Solution-focused and able to think outside the square.
- Enjoys taking ownership/accountability and can clearly articulate thoughts/concepts.
This is a full-time permanent role located in the Sydney CBD and is offering $120,000-140,000 (plus super) - depending on experience. Work from home options available.
