About the role

Your position as a DevOps Engineer is to be a key contributor in areas such as automation, infrastructure definition, configuration management, monitoring, and CI/CD. You will deliver projects on time and to a high standard. In this position, you will work alongside the Development team, Operations and occasionally work with a client’s technical team. You will have exposure to working with modern tech frameworks and our Codebots technology. You will work on a variety of projects and gain exposure to vastly different industries. You will bring to this role a background and demonstrable experience in continuous integration, DevOps, or a similar field. 

Your key responsibilities will include (but not limited):

  • Working with CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Jenkins & Azure.
  • Adding ideas to our infrastructure while you work and build trusted relationships with the Development team, Operations team, and clients.
  • Updating and maintaining office networks and machines. 
  • Completing audits in line with our security standard 
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are followed 
  • Translating technical jargon to non-technical clients and team members. 
  • Assisting our client by planning, writing the right scripts, and pipelining, and having automation in place to be able to deploy to production on demand multiple times a day. 
  • Onboarding and offboarding the tech set up for employees. 

About you

We are looking for a person who:

  • Has the ability to adapt to change and challenges
  • Communicates effectively with teams and clients
  • Possess excellent research, organisational, and learning skills
  • Has a positive can-do attitude and keen to explore diverse projects & industries
  • Can think critically and can translate business requirements into solutions.

The right person has:

  • 4+ years' experience in DevOps/SysAdmin role
  • Worked in an agile program delivery environment
  • Experience with K8s, Docker, Linux, Scripting, Helm, LDAP, Git Server, Jenkins, Network Administration
  • A fun but professional attitude that shows initiative but is also an effective team player
  • The ability to identify and implement process improvements to the way we work
  • A desire to evolve both as an engineer and as an individual through goal setting and training.
