I'm working with an experienced contactor who specialise in substation, T&D and renewable energy projects.
About the Role
I'm seeking a Project Engineer to assist with the design and construction of substation / balance of plant projects. Initially, you will be based in the Brisbane office for 6-8 months, with a focus on design review and construction planning. After that, you will then move to site (QLD) where you will oversee the delivery to ensure design requirements are being adhered to. Any Powerlink knowledge will be valuable and previous HV / substation experience is essential. It's a full time position, with secured projects moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Design review from external contractors
- Project planning and preparation of management plans
- Involvement with supplier and subcontractor negotiation
- Overseeing design delivery on site
- Management of subcontractors
- Regular reporting on project progress
- Compliance testing and commissioning planning
- Liaison with NSP's
- Degree in engineering (electrical or power systems)
- Experience in the delivery of substation / HV infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of primary / secondary substation design
- Powerlink knowledge valued
- Site experience and ability to manage subcontractors
- Commissioning experience also an advantage
- Wind farm experience valued
