Due to growth within our QLD Water team, we are currently looking to engage a Senior Structural Engineer to work within our Brisbane office. You will contribute to our clients' successes by working on exciting Water infrastructure and large-scale Water programs of works. Some of the project work include water/wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.

The Opportunity

  • Monitor, manage and execute scope while working within multi-disciplined projects of varying complexity and size.
  • Provide structural engineering input into winning proposals and contributes to pursuits and contribute to business development
  • Regularly seek business opportunities via effective Client-centric practices.
  • Develop knowledge and focus on Digital Engineering/BIM based interdisciplinary coordination constructability and/or project controls.
  • Apply, contribute to and promote the continual improvement of best practice OHS&E and Quality systems and behaviours.
  • Participate to promote a culture of technical excellence within the team.
  • Undertake technical engineering tasks including, but not limited to, water and wastewater design projects. Prepare reports for clients on matters relating to engineering services, and undertaken design reviews.

What We'll Love About You
  • A Bachelor of Engineering Degree.
  • Typically, 8-15 years’ experience as a Structural or Senior Structural Engineer, with solid 5+ years of experience in the water industry.
  • Experience in planning and design (concept to detailed), report writing, workshop/meeting facilitation.
  • Have demonstrated experience in the design of structures including reinforced concrete, structural steel, and undertaking structural inspections. Experience in design of water retaining structures highly recommended.
  • Be technically competent with reinforced concrete and steel design to Australian Standards.
  • Have ability to communicate proposed solutions to various stakeholders.
  • Developing experience in managing small teams and supervising graduates.
  • Contributing to building the technical capability of others and transferring technical expertise within the organisation.
  • Experienced in developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Experience in applying legislation, standards, guidelines and project specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply safety in design processes on projects.
