The Repco Supercars Championship is the premier motorsport category in Australasia and one of the most watched and attended sports in the country.

An rare opportunity has arisen for a strategically minded and dynamic individual to join our existing Motorsports team. The selection criteria and key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

• Must be highly experienced in CAD, FEA, simulation practices.
• Will have recent experience in bringing together a complete end to end New car design, construction and build process for a field of 26 cars, including drawing inspection, management, distribution and cataloguing, generation of productions scheduling and the ability manage multiple outside contractors.
• Sound knowledge of touring car aero and its effects on racing.
• Procurement and facilitating of tendering processes for Supercars control componentry and relationship management of control suppliers.
• Must be able to manage and deliver a program to agreed timelines and on budget.
• Will have comprehensive knowledge of modern production techniques and material specifications, treatments, tolerances and finishes.
• Determining, implementing and monitoring engineering strategies, policies and plans
• Interpreting plans, drawings and specifications, and providing advice on engineering methods and procedures to achieve construction and production requirements.
• Establishing project schedules and budgets.
• Ensuring conformity with specifications and plans, and with laws, regulations and safety standards.
• Ensuring engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are observed.
• Overseeing maintenance requirements to optimise efficiency.
• Liaising with marketing, research and manufacturing managers regarding engineering.

• May contribute to research and development projects

Professional Qualifications

Engineering degree in Automotive Engineering or similar

Work Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience working in Motorsports.
• Experience in designing and developing race cars at the highest level of competition

Salary

The salary range for this position is $180,000 to $210,000 base (not including superannuation).
