JOB DESCRIPTION
The Repco Supercars Championship is the premier motorsport category in Australasia and one of the most watched and attended sports in the country.
An rare opportunity has arisen for a strategically minded and dynamic individual to join our existing Motorsports team. The selection criteria and key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Must be highly experienced in CAD, FEA, simulation practices.
- Will have recent experience in bringing together a complete end to end New car design, construction and build process for a field of 26 cars, including drawing inspection, management, distribution and cataloguing, generation of productions scheduling and the ability manage multiple outside contractors.
- Sound knowledge of touring car aero and its effects on racing.
- Procurement and facilitating of tendering processes for Supercars control componentry and relationship management of control suppliers.
- Must be able to manage and deliver a program to agreed timelines and on budget.
- Will have comprehensive knowledge of modern production techniques and material specifications, treatments, tolerances and finishes.
- Determining, implementing and monitoring engineering strategies, policies and plans
- Interpreting plans, drawings and specifications, and providing advice on engineering methods and procedures to achieve construction and production requirements.
- Establishing project schedules and budgets.
- Ensuring conformity with specifications and plans, and with laws, regulations and safety standards.
- Ensuring engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are observed.
- Overseeing maintenance requirements to optimise efficiency.
- Liaising with marketing, research and manufacturing managers regarding engineering.

Professional Qualifications
Engineering degree in Automotive Engineering or similar
Work Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience working in Motorsports.
- Experience in designing and developing race cars at the highest level of competition

- 10 years engineering design experience.

Salary
The salary range for this position is $180,000 to $210,000 base (not including superannuation).
