JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a worldwide leading system integrator in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Toll & tunnel management systems design, development and deployment. SICE Pty Ltd utilises the latest technologies (developed in-house) in ITS & Tunnel management and control systems.

The role

SICE is currently looking for an Engineering Technologist based in Melbourne to assist the Operations department on the day-to-day implementation, management, and maintenance of multiple tolling, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and tunnel management systems projects.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Plan, execute and review systems maintenance tasks, upgrades, and deployments
  • Investigate and evaluate current work processes and technologies to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations on how to improve them
  • Work closely with business analysts and the engineering team to analyse, plan and implement improvements on systems performance
  • Develop testing and maintenance procedures
  • Manage projects and services costs, quality, and safety standards
  • Interface with clients to ensure that solutions are implemented accurately
  • Liaise with the offshore team in Spain to plan, coordinate and implement systems upgrades and deployment activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience in similar roles, providing engineering and operations support within the tolling, ITS and tunnel management systems industry
  • Further qualifications or relevant experience in program/project management and service delivery is desirable
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Visio, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with JIRA/Redmine and Confluence
  • Previous experience working with ALM Quality Centre
  • Basic knowledge in SQL
  • Good analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently in an efficient manner
  • Strong communication skills in English. Fluency in Spanish will be also appreciated.
