We now have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Process Technology Engineer to be based in Sydney or Brisbane.
The Role
The Principle Process Technology Engineer provides global leadership of the Cochlear manufacturing, Repairs and Toolroom operations across seven key sites. For this role we are seeking an individual with expertise passion and vision in the areas of test systems, vision systems, automation and Manufacturing systems integration.
Central to your success will be your ability to develop the medium to long term strategic technology roadmap across our manufacturing network to sustain existing production whilst supporting the introduction of new products.
About You
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/ or other suitable science degrees such as Physics or Material Science.
- Significant experience as a senior process engineer, acting as the subject matter expert within your field (medical device, defence, semiconductor or space industry preferred)
- Familiar with structured problem-solving strategies across the product lifecycle from R&D to warranty and repair work.
- Business intelligence and reporting capability, familiar with using data to drive critical business decisions.
- Highly developed influencing and stakeholder management skills that enable you to work effectively across the organisation and at all levels.
- The ability to build virtual teams and collaborate to get work done that delivers value to key stakeholders and benefits for Cochlear’s customers.
- A responsible attitude to working safely and building a safety culture.
- Experience in developing, delivering and supporting complex electrical, acoustic or automated visual test systems into a global organisation.
- Significant technical expertise with LabVIEW, Windows OS, Amazon web services and network and security infrastructure.
- Experience in the automation and systems integration of complex manufacturing processes.
