About the role

Based in IT in the Engagement team you will be working across Banking Apps. Working as a part of a delivery team in this Quality Engineer role you will delivers quality outcomes and customer value by accurately planning, preparing, executing, and reporting the testing of systems and applications prior to production deployment.

  • 12 month Fixed Term Contact (salary plus benefits)
Responsibilities include…
  • Develop and deliver testing outcomes including test requirements and test cases.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand scope.
  • Determine appropriate test approach and scope based on the nature of change
  • Identify environment and data requirements for testing activities.
  • Work with other team members to refine the product backlog, estimate features, epics and stories based on acceptance criteria and definition of done.
  • Utilise standards, frameworks, and templates, to deliver using the tools supported by the Enterprise Testing Service team.
  • Learn and utilise test automation skills to be able to effectively apply automation in delivery.
  • Contribute to an Automation led approach for System Test and SIT across the Bank and contribute to platform integration tests.
  • Apply knowledge of CI/CD frameworks to validate and confirm traceability to requirements.
About you
  • Experience as a Tester or Quality Engineer working in an Agile / CI/CD environment.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Java, Maven test automation tools such as selenium / cucumber), BDD/TDD and test management tools.
  • Proven background in automation testing and software development.
  • Agile and waterfall experience with an understanding of how quality engineering functions in an agile delivery environment.
  • You'll thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment, whilst bringing your ideas to innovate.
  • You'll be a team player who is well versed in test automation, agile methodologies, and the use of testing tools.
