As a Sales Engineer, you will partner with our Account Executives in a pre-sales technical role, showcasing Appspace product solutions, setting up demonstrations, and explaining features and benefits to customers and partners across the UK and Europe. The candidate must be able to understand customer business needs and use this to define a solution that not only fits those needs but allows the customer to have scalability and flexibility for future needs. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate the value of Appspace solutions at both the technical and business level. Further, the ideal candidate's interpersonal, presentation, and troubleshooting skills should evoke passion and confidence.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical and sales support for assigned and/or prospective customers
- Take the lead on moving opportunities through the sales process from a technical perspective, knowing when to engage other team members for success and closure
- Perform technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects
- Assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities, selling at the solution and architectural level.
- Ability to understand complex customer technical and business situations and identify where Appspace solutions can provide value.
- Help drive account and partner relationship building
- Keeping up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products, and services
- Ability to build strong customer relationships leading to trusted advisor status within customer and partner base
- In-depth knowledge of baseline pre-sales product and engineering skills
- Knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, performance criteria, and applications of use
- Competitive knowledge (in the area of digital media and content management)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively across teams and add value to the engineering sales team
- Demonstrated history of exhibiting technical knowledge and consultative skills
- Prior sales experience preferred; working knowledge/use of Salesforce, Scripting, JAVA programming and Web Development (HTML 5); prior Software/SaaS Company and/or Industry experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years professional experience (Computer Science/Information Technology and/or Engineering fields preferred but not required)
