Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking an experienced Electrician to support our Engineering Department on site. This role provides a family friendly 7 / 7 roster. Our coal operation in Clermont operates a range of cutting-edge technology and equipment and will offer variety and opportunity to the right individual.

As a key member of the CHPP Maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe electrical practices are followed, prepare group isolations, and ensure that cost efficient and effective maintenance is performed along with preventive diagnosis and repair of electrical equipment at Clermont Open Cut CHPP. You will demonstrate your ability to perform the full range of maintenance tasks to achieve availability and reliability targets in a dynamic and changing environment.

You will hold an unrestricted electrical licence with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Open Cut coal mining or fixed plant processing maintenance. Your strengths will include demonstrated knowledge of preventative maintenance methods, a sound knowledge of Australian Standards, complex isolation procedures and practices, HV switching experience and instrumentation. You will have a proactive attitude to safety, a strong work ethic, and leadership capability. Working closely with a highly motivated CHPP maintenance team, flexibility and excellent teamwork skills will be essential for your success in this role.
