The Role

As the Solutions Architect for Upstream Solutions, you will be responsible for the creation, innovation, configuration, implementation, delivery and responsible for customers signing off of customised tailored software solutions that have been scoped by our Upstream Presales Team. You will keep up to date with current trends and technologies to help identify business opportunities for Upstream Solutions.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Design, build, implement and support software solutions
  • Identify, develop and enhance relevant working practices, standards, processes & guidelines
  • Assist the Presales team with technical advice, solution recommendations and training
  • Manage relationships with Upstream and relevant vendors to achieve successful outcomes for customers
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement and recommendation of methods for implementing these improvements
  • Investigate, instigate and implement sound processes for support of Upstream’s Solutions
  • Manage relationships with customers and Upstream team in resolving complex problems & issues – process, software, hardware, etc.
  • Implement and Document bespoke Software Solutions
  • Manage and own your own delivery of software projects
  • Actively participate & contribute to Solutions Services team goals

About You

With previous experience in an IT service environment or with Document Management, you will have a disciplined approach to planning and prioritising, excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical skills and exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to liaise with a broad range of customer groups.

Additionally you will have some of the following skills:
  • Strong understanding of Windows server & desktop environment
  • Strong understanding of Databases (SQL etc)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET framework, and web technologies
  • Practical and proven networking knowledge and network security fundamentals
  • Software Installation & Configuration experience
  • Exposure to providing customers with Document Management Solutions, AP solutions, Proof of delivery solutions, E-Form solutions is preferable
  • Experience with applications such as M-Files and/or ABBYY/ OCR platforms/DMS Platforms is also preferable
