Who we’re looking for:
The Tasmania team are looking for an experienced professional Return to Work/Work Health and Safety Advisor to join the Safety Team. This role reports directly through to the senior leadership team and Is responsible for all Return to Work/Work Health and Safety matter across the Costa Berries Tasmania farms. This Is a permanent full-time role.

What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be responsible for the duty of care for all Costa employees by providing a safe workplace. Managing workplace health and safety matter in the field and providing management information to assist the SLT in their decision making. In addition, managing workers compensation claims from start to finish and coordinating all stakeholders involved in the Costa rehabilitation and return to work process.

Key responsibilities Include:
Reviewing work practices to ensure safe work practices are followed
Educate leaders and manager on work health and safety topics
Case Management of Injuries and Incidents
Liaise with relevant practitioners, insurers and managers for all return to work plans
Process claims and ensure compliance
Providing advice on pre-employment checks
Sound knowledge and understanding of the Work Cover systems in place
Implement cost effective strategies for medical costs

Other responsibilities:
Strong knowledge of relevant acts and legislation
Effective communication and Interpersonal skills
Demonstrate ability to empathise and build relationships with all stakeholders
Strong written and verbal skills

What you’ll bring to the role:
We’re looking for someone with…

Certified Return to Work Certificate
Relevant Work Health and Safety qualification
2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Planning, time management and excellent record keeping ability
Attention to detail and analytical skills
The ability to take direction and work autonomously
Support employees and managers to achieve best practice return to work processes
Have a current driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle
