We seek a candidate with a visionary creative design platform. A candidate that can create a built form without limits and through a collaborative internal group design workshop, achieve an outcome that can be delivered.

The candidate will demonstrate, they have a clear understanding of the planning process and able to interpret the planning schemes. An understanding of Res-code, BADS [Better Apartment Design Standards]. The candidate will be able to demonstrate they can undertake full working drawings in all facets of construction and development.

Tasks:

• Evaluate and prepare design options for project brief with client and stakeholders
• Be able to liaise and collaborate with consultants and specialist during all stages of the project
• Provide and assertive inclusion of material selections based on their physical qualities.
• Generate detailed and accurate 2d and 3d documentation for planning and construction submission showing a clear understanding of the local codes as BADS, Res-code and Australian standards.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants and builders to meet quality objectives.
• Be able to coordinate with builders and professionals design options, material selection and cost impact for the project.
• Monitor progress of work on-site to ensure the project is to meet quality and time objectives.
• Collaborate with external consultants and create reports and planning documentation in detail reflecting a cohesive outcome.

Qualifications: 

• Minimum Diploma of Architecture / Architectural design

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of local experience.

Skills.

• Highly efficient in both AutoCAD and Revit.
• Excellent understanding of the planning process and be able to interpret planning schemes
• A clear understanding of design guidelines as Res-code, BADS and BCA
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
