About the role:

Continued growth and success have now generated a new opportunity for an experienced Stormwater Drainage Engineer to join our team. You will be provided with the opportunity to lead the coordination and management associated with the delivery of stormwater drainage services design. Therefore, the successful candidate will be proficient in technical leadership, delivering quality stormwater drainage services design and client facing. Strong communication skills as well as your concentrated experience in the local Building Services Industry will set you apart from other candidates.

To be considered for this role, you must be competent in the following areas;

  • Be able to review Council guidelines and incorporate stormwater requirements into design.
  • Be able to provide advice and consult with architects for the incorporation of the stormwater requirements into their architectural design.
  • Be able to assess flood maps and define flood planning requirements;
  • Be able to prepare stormwater concept plans for Development Application.
  • Be able to develop stormwater documentation for Tender/Construction Certificate.
  • Be competent in specification writing.
  • Be able to prepare reports and with clearly defined outcomes.
  • Have client and architect liaison skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
  • Charted Engineer is preferred.
  • Pit and pipe design in 12D desirable but not a requisite.
  • Hydraulic modeling experience in HEC RAS and Drains or similar.
  • Understanding of water quality modeling and/or experience using MUSIC.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards and local Council requirements.
  • Computer skills, outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Team orientation with a bias for achieving results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisation skills and enthusiasm for mentoring.
  • High level of direct involvement in delivering large-scale projects.
