Competentia - Dare is a global group providing a range of services in the Mining, Infrastructure, Rail, Oil and Gas Sectors. We have a number of rail infrastructure project roles available with tier 1 and tier 2 clients.

We have a number of projects at various locations with our clients in the Rail Industry and as a result we are recruiting a Lead Permanent Way Engineer.

To be successful:

• Applicants must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in the metro rail engineering industry.
• A minimum of 15 years' experience in delivering major rail projects.
• Undertake field studies and manage investigations.
• Understand and apply legislation, standards and project specifications.
• Support all technical reporting while managing risk and quality for the projects.
• Client facing and problem solving to meet client expectations.
• Bid tender management with bid team.
• Overall management of various projects and teams and providing mentoring for junior staff.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering
• Proven ability to review major project reports, approvals and assessments.
• Must be able to demonstrate of delivering best client outcomes and cost savings for end clients.
• Competent in technical guidance across various rail disciplines.
• High level skills in applying safety in design processes and practices.
