A reputable and progressive national project management consultancy, are now seeking a 

The candidate will contribute to successful delivery of a range of planning projects with a focus on active and public transport. This project will be for the duration of 3 - 4 years. But the client is offering a permanent position. 

THE CANDIDATE 
A QLD Registered Senior Engineer (Civil) contractor with 5-year minimum experience or acceptable equivalent delivering civil projects is required to deliver planning projects at a strategic, concept, options analysis or business cases level.

THE ROLE 

• Undertake transport/traffic studies and prepare oral and written reports of such studies
• Understand and contribute to development of the strategic and integrated regional transport plans that influence the state-controlled road network
• Prepare transport modelling briefs, call quotations, let tenders, conduct negotiations with consultants and contractors
• Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary for the planning phase of road infrastructure projects
• Ensure all quality management procedures are adhered to in order to facilitate the planning phase of road projects to a high and consistent standard for both Transport and Main Roads and clients
• Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to transport infrastructure planning activities
• Ensure all projects include appropriate provision for active and public transport
