Job Title : Fibrous Plasterer

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Fibrous Plasterer to join our Perth based team. This is a fulltime permanent role based in Perth with the potential of travelling throughout WA to measure, quote and install.

The key duties of the role include but are not limited to:

• Quoting works requested by clients.
• Meeting and discussing projects with key clients and ensuring relationships are maintained.
• Growing your own team of tradesmen and assistants.
• Measuring and cutting plasterboard to the right sizes and angles according to plans and specifications of the job.
• Fixing the panels to frames or ceiling joists using studwork.
• Cutting panels to fit around doorways and create openings for windows.
• Sealing joints using fillers or adhesives
• Taping over the seal and skimming
• Covering joins and nail holes with wet plaster or sealing compounds and smooth them using wet brushes and sandpaper in preparation for painting and decorating
• Preparing corner beading panel mouldings, ceiling centres and other plaster fittings
• Spraying fibrous materials over surfaces to be covered for insulation and fireproofing.
• Installing acoustic walls and treatments
• Supervising all the above work

Skills & Experience Required

We are looking for a candidate that has the following experience, skills, and attributes:

• Proven experience in estimation within the construction industry.
• Extensive experience in Highrise and residential projects.
• 5 years proven experience in a similar role.
• White card is required.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse, evaluate and interpret a range of complex and technical documents.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite with extensive experience in Excel
• A keen interest in leadership would be highly advantageous.
