What are we looking for?

Permanent Full Time Opportunity | Melbourne office

An opportunity has arisen for a proactive and collaborative Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join us at Slater & Gordon.

This role is responsible for supporting, implementing and maintaining IT Infrastructure, and you will work in a team of Engineers and be responsible for the delivery and management of robust and secure IT infrastructure. We are looking for a positive individual with a keen eye for detail to join our journey of continual process improvement both within IT and for our business stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • The overall operation and maintenance of the data centre
  • Planning, building migration from on premises to cloud and ongoing support and maintenance of all cloud based, virtualised technologies and associated core infrastructure applications.
  • Maintaining and understanding Virtualize environments, MS Exchange Services, SaaS Applications, Active Directory, VMware ESXi, MS Azure, AWS Foundation.
  • Providing Level 3 troubleshooting of IT incidents, fulfil requests and execute low/medium/critical changes.
  • Providing support on Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Certificates, Group Policy, file and print servers)
  • Understanding and supporting of windows Server patching via SCCM/Intunes
  • Working closely with external vendors to implement and resolve infrastructure related issues.

What will you bring?

The following experience and personal attributes to bring to the role:

  • Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in technical environments
  • Experience on MS exchange/office 365
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with cloud based architecture and implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to positively manage and absorb change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management, organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Excellence in Service focus
