The Role

Our client, an industry leader in the resources sector are recruiting for a Project Cost Engineer, South of the River on a 12m contract. Working closely with Senior Management, you will work closely with project managers within an integrated team to deliver on a variety of large capital projects.

The Responsibilities

Maintaining & controlling cost expenditure, reporting to budgeting & forecasting

Ensure project managers have timely access to cost reports/forecasts

Updating schedules on project delivery

Monitoring the progress of projects to ensure deliverables, productivity are accurately presented by contractors

Provide accurate recommendations on the re-forecasting & escalation of contingency plans through the project lifecycle

Ensuring company policy/procedures & guidelines are adhered to at all times

Experience

You will be an experienced Cost Engineer with exposure to large projects in the resources sector (up to $300m) & an eye for detail. You will have a track record of delivery of effective cost control in high pressure environments & have a passion for quality of service.
