WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer (Civil / Transport) to join our integrated infrastructure team within the Canberra office which is expanding due to a secure pipeline of long-term work and diversity across multiple projects and opportunities. Our infrastructure project portfolio spans transport planning and advisory, road and highway design, construction, master planned communities, water and civil design. We are experts in delivering comprehensive design and documentation for all forms of civil infrastructure. Our teams identify issues and opportunities through feasibility and design development integrating them with contract administration and construction supervision to create tangible client centric solutions.

Working as a Project Engineer you will experience a diverse range of projects and tasks delivering projects to the highest potential quality within project constraints. The role includes but is not limited to the following: Reporting, Technical Assessments, Cost Estimations, Risk Assessments, Tender Financial and Technical Evaluations, Coordination and Liaison with Subconsultants, Presentations and assisting with bid preparations.

Guidance on technical aspects will be provided which include Road Design, Pavement Design, Active Travel Design, Traffic Assessment and there are great career opportunities as part of our multidisciplinary firm. This role will offer a balance of business development, client management and technical project delivery.

WHO YOU ARE

As a successful candidate you will have some experience in infrastructure projects, coupled with client understanding and strong knowledge of design standards and project processes. Ideally, you will have experience in Design Delivery, Design Management and/or Project Management as part of multi-disciplinary teams in design and construction for infrastructure projects. You will work closely with key clients and senior members of the team to provide technical solutions for projects.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong communication skills, particularly in the preparation of reports and other project related documentation.
  • Ability to drive and organise varied project outcomes across multi-discipline engineering/design teams.
  • High quality technical and non-technical report writing.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, or other relevant qualification.
  • Have demonstrated civil engineering and project management experience, experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Relationship management with key stakeholders including clients, local authorities, contractors and internal parties.
