Mechanical Engineer – Immediate Start – Site Based - FIFO

Our client is looking for a mechanical engineer to assist with the maintenance of their current fixed plant assets immediately.

The client is one of Australia’s leading minerals processing companies. As mechanical engineer, you will be working closely with established leaders looking to support maintenance of mechanical aspects of the processing plant.

The ongoing contract will be fast paced and results-driven in order to get the project done efficiently, meaning you will be exposed to various challenges in different areas.

This provides an excellent opportunity for the candidate to hone their mechanical expertise to progress further in the mining sector.

Given the urgent requirement of this position, the client understands they will need to offer an attractive rate for an adept engineer.

Focus of the role:

You will be assisting in the improvements, maintenance and operations of equipment

This will involve utilizing your hands-on mechanical maintenance/operation experience and

knowledge of processing plants to identify prevalent issues and provide the relevant solutions.

Ideally, we are looking for a plant/mechanical engineer with:

- Short notice period / available

- Strong fixed plant maintenance and operation skills (5+ years fixed plant)

- Understanding and capability to facilitate root cause analysis

- Overall understanding of control aspects of processing plants

- Ability to take on front end paperwork tasks

- Experience in mining

- Previous site-based experience
