  • Building up accurate & reliable project costing sheets.
  • Providing recommendations to senior management regarding tender submissions.
  • Attending production planning meetings to ensure resources can meet production targets.
  • Ensure on-time completion of project estimating tasks - tender / sales estimates / contract / variation / production estimates.
  • Liaising with our Procurement Manager to ensure arrangements are in place for supply of materials and labour as required by the contract documentation.
  • Ensure the estimating team assists stakeholders to resolve any documentation related issues that arise during the construction period.
  • Identify causes of margin erosion and take actions to prevent recurrence by incorporating continuous improvement strategies into QA processes.
  • Provide leadership to our Projects Estimating Team.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ estimating experience in the domestic medium density building industry.
  • Knowledge of National Construction Code (NCC) building regulations and other relevant Australian Standards.
  • Exposure to construction of residential housing projects under AS D&C contracts.
  • Leadership and management experience.
  • Ability to interpret construction documentation.
  • Knowledge of Timberline/WMS/Framework.
  • Proven ability to solve problems, mitigate risks and resolve conflict.
  • Demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills.
