Responsibilities will include:

• Demonstrate an overriding commitment to the BHP Charter values

• Undertake quality field leadership activities

• The development and execution of multiple projects to a defined scope, budget and schedule, with compliance to standards and specifications, and in accordance with BHP Small Project Management Framework

• Engage and manage contractors consistent with the BHP Contractor Management Framework

• Manage the project technical requirements in accordance with BHP technical Standards.

• Complete End of Month reporting, demonstrating control and management of all project with respect to Safety, Risk, Cost, Schedule and Quality

• Review of contractor schedules and updating of BHP P6 schedule, including critical path and risk and opportunity reviews

• Producing the specified key deliverables, including documentation, within projects in a timely manner and to an appropriate quality.

Important competencies:

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent

• 5 years Project Management experience with proven record of completing Electrical oriented projects

• BHP project management experience is highly desired

• Proven ability to work autonomously with a proactive and problem solving mindset

• Strong commercial and contractor management skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage a variety of stakeholders effectively

• Demonstrated high-level negotiation skills with the ability to influence both internal and external departments and contractors

• Strong attention to detail
