About the role 

We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as a lead carpenter, immediate start available operating Monday - Friday. The position is full time carpentry, with many different duties to perform. Ideal position for an individual who wishes to be challenged. We are looking for a motivated multi skilled Carpenter that can tackle any job big or small. Someone that is committed to completing tasks and is proactive and solutions focused

Requirements for the Role

As it is a demanding position you will be required to meet the following

  • 4+ years full time experience.
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Prior experience in similar role
  • Experience carrying out inspections for quotations 
  • Has own tools
  • Has own Ute
  • Based in northern beaches
  • Able to maintain a neat and tidy appearance at all times
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Past experience in customer service
  • Able to record job notes and utilising the job management software
  • Experience being the face of the company as a tradesman meeting with clients in a professional manner 
  • Past experience in business development and networking to expand client base

Licence

  • Whitecard 
  • Australian Drivers license 
  • Police check

Job duties 

  •  Reading and interpreting blueprints to understand materials required and installation process
  •  Cutting, preparing, assembling and installing wood structures
  • Repairing existing fittings or structures
  •  Train and help co-workers
  •  Ensuring adherence to building codes and regulations
  •  Ensuring adherence to local job site safety rules and regulations
  •  Effectively utilising different types of wood based on adaptability
  •  Effectively utilising methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry

The position is full time salary package $65,000 + superannuation with potential to move up within the organisation as we grow. A positive and learning based work environment with steady workflow and a lot of upcoming projects.
