Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) (www.hcma.com.au) is a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the construction and mining industries.

HCA is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in either Greystanes, Sydney or Wacol, Brisbane.

The main focus of this role will be to provide Engineering and application support to the business and to assist, develop and administer local options by utilising the HCA Engineering work management system and engineering due diligence processes.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities include:

• Manage and conclude engineering issues in conjunction with Branch staff and OEM contacts.
• Manage drafting team activities and duties.
• Assist with engineering activities such as design reviews, risk assessments and other design activities, including 3D modelling and FEA.
• Provide support in the development of a national standard for new equipment local options.
• Offer engineering advice to staff responsible for Sales, Service and after Sales Support of HCA Products.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree
• Solid engineering design experience
• Earthmoving machinery design experience will be highly regarded
• Chartered Engineer will be highly regarded
• 3D modelling experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
