About the role

Our Assets Planning & Delivery Group has a permanent opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer - Electrical Design to undertake a quality design service for water and wastewater infrastructure projects and provide technical support and advice in process planning, definition, design, operations and standards. This role will be based in our Leederville office, reporting to the Team Leader – Electrical Design.

What the role will offer
  • Undertake and coordinate investigations, conceptual planning and financial analysis for assessment, development and remedial works of allocated infrastructure assets.
  • Develop and deliver reports and designs for the solution of infrastructure problems using in-house or external resources
  • Undertake the role of Design Manager for nominated Minor Works projects
  • Coordinate the preparation of tender documents for projects
  • Carry out in-house electrical power design
  • Provide electrical engineering support to operational assets
Key skills and experience
  • Degree level qualification in Electrical Engineering or relevant equivalent
  • Considerable water related professional engineering experience with considerable experience in infrastructure planning, definition and/or detailed design of infrastructure assets
  • Experience in and relevant knowledge of design and project management, and in the preparation and review of technical reports and tender specifications for water industry infrastructure
  • Sound knowledge of statutory requirements, regulation and national standards associated with design, approval and development of water related infrastructure assets
  • Relevant experience and sound knowledge in power electrical engineering
