About you
We are looking for a hands on and practical person who is passionate about safety. Someone who knows their stuff, having a strong understand of all WHS legislation and knows how to innovate and leverage best practice to achieve WHS goals.

The Role
Working with a team of talented professionals you will help drive the safety culture for the organisation. Partnering with stakeholders from a range of sites across the Sydney and Blue Mountains area, you will help maintain highest level of safety compliance, injury prevention, training programs and advice around best practice in relation to WHS..

You will bring with you all the essential stuff….
  • Cert IV or higher in Work Health and Safety
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a safety related position Demonstrated understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW)
  • A hands on, practical, engaging, professional
  • Excellent understanding of safety management systems and their application within an organisation with multiple sites.
  • Proven track record of creating sustainable relationships, built on trust, with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
  • A quick thinker and ability to travel to our sites to support / undertake WHS work as necessary
  • Experience presenting to small groups and undertaking training, inductions and ad hoc consultations
  • Internal auditing experience
  • Experience in a disability, aged care, or social services setting (desirable)
  • Return to work and case management and claim reviews for injured employees under the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme.
  • Some travel to sites around Sydney / Blue mountains (car licence essential)
  • Demonstrated outcomes related to injury prevention and return to work strategies
  • Report writing experience (e.g. contributing to monthly reports, providing data etc).
