The Lead Project Engineering role’s focus will be to ensure the smooth delivery of systems projects for our mid-market customer base. The senior position will be required to autonomously manage the entire project delivery life cycle from sales handover through to business as usual handover. The senior role will also be required to engage with customers, mentor junior members of staff and produce project plans and technical documentation.

You will have a passion for designing, developing and running a variety of IT infrastructure solution with a focus on Microsoft Solutions. As a Lead Engineer, you will require expert level proficiency in technology, design and hands-on deployment skills.

Solution Design
Work with the Senior Solutions Architects & customers to develop or validate appropriate IT solutions that meet the customers expectations

Project Planning
Work with the project team & customer to develop appropriate technical projects plans, run sheets & change requests as part of the solution being deployed.

Solution Deployment
Working with the project team & customer take an active lead role in deploying the IT solution. This will require a mix of business hours & afterhours work.

Team Mentoring
As a Lead Project Engineer, it would be expected that you take the opportunity to assist an mentor fellow project engineers you are working with to improve the overall skills of the team.

Issue Resolution
As a lead project engineer from time to time break fix issues may be escalated to you to resolve, or mentor the BAU teams to fix.

• Have exceptional communication skills that can be used to effectively work with key stakeholders
• Enjoy working directly with customers and leveraging you service skills
• Ambitious, quick and self-motivated learner
• Experience managing cloud solution design, security an implementation preferably in Azure
• Strong Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and governance including networking, policy and security concepts and capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to perform proof-of-concepts for validating new technologies or approaches

• Fluent English language skills.
• 10+ Years in the IT industry across project delivery roles
• Experience with Windows (All current flavours), Active Directory, GP, Terminal Server, Citrix, Office365, Azure and SAN's Having worked in an MSP is desirable
• Knowledge of Microsoft's core SME business applications, operating systems (including Office 365), printing and server/network environments.
• Working knowledge or Virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V & VMware
