JOB DESCRIPTION
Based in Queensland, the responsibilities include:
- Support the existing assigned accounts and promote and execute the sale of company products and systems, to achieve annual revenue and gross margin plans.
- Grow Company business and expand customer base by identifying potential customers/markets and developing appropriate strategies to take advantage of new business opportunities while keeping up to date the pipeline of new opportunities.
- Participate in determining and negotiating sales contract terms and conditions advising sales management of significant market, business, and competitor factors influencing sales commitments.
- Support any planned price increases at both the OEMs and distribution.
- Support the introduction of new products by targeting a new business that will find these products appealing and by increasing wallet share at existing customers
- Work closely with Customer Service personnel and other internal functions to ensure that commitments to customers are met in a professional, timely, and quality manner.
- Demonstrate and promote products to customers and potential customers, provide product and product application training to Eaton Hydraulics Centre (EHC) employees and customer personnel.
- Work closely with both the Supply Chain team to identify changes, up or down, in customer product requirements to ensure the right level of inventory is kept.
- Work with the Finance team where required to ensure that your customer base meets the required payment terms.
- Represent the Company professionally and ethically, with integrity and trust, and with personal presentation and behavior beyond reproach.
- Carry out the job role in strict adherence to Eaton’s high standards of Ethics and Health and Safety. Identify and report any company processes considered 'out-of-control' that adversely affect Eaton's Goals and Objectives.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Sound knowledge of hydraulics products and or hose and fittings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Min. 5 years direct relevant experience
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, data analytical skill, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and negotiation skills are required, in addition to the ability to influence others to achieve results.
- Experience liaising with senior management from both within and outside of the company.
- A high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel as well as experience of working with an ERP system.
