JOB DESCRIPTION
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp the job requirements
- Follow specification and standards of each project
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Combines carpentry work with joining work
- Cut, shape, and smooth materials such as wood, timber according to measurements
- Build and install various structure such as window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using timbers or pre-constructed items
- Shape irregular parts and trims excess materials to ensure the structure meets the specifications
- Carve and assemble equipment, cabinets, shelves, and other items and install them where designated
- Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
- Build scaffolding and other construction structure
- Build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, customers, and managers to ensure the effectiveness of the repairs and maintenance service.
- Be aware of risk assessments and method statements relating to your own area of work and work in a safe manner taking into account other people’s health and wellbeing.
