About the role
The primary responsibility of the role is to efficiently and accurately prepare drawings to enter into a building contract with the customer and to obtain a building permit. The role requires an understanding of CAD software to prepare drawings and an understanding of contract documentation, preconstruction procedures, construction techniques and procedures and all statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve agreed production targets, KPIs and timeframes
- Ensure quality, accuracy, consistency and completeness of quotations and costings
- Process preliminary works contracts in preparation for Lump sum building contracts as required via the Customer Contracts System (CCS)
- Prepare Commission Adjustment form as required.
- Efficiently and accurately process and track all packaged product pricing
- Review all site-related costs accurately and efficiently
- Ensure margins are maintained at pre-determined company benchmarks
- Ensure that the highest levels of accuracy & quality are maintained in estimating department
- Assist the relevant management with the maintenance of pricing strategies, promotions and pricebooks as required
You will bring
- Experience using Archicad
- Minimum of Cert IV in Residential Drafting or equivalent
- Construction and R-codes knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed problem solving, conflict resolution & negotiation skills
- Interest in building industry, building technology and technical drawing
- Accuracy, neatness and patience in drawing work
- Logical thinker
- Basic knowledge Microsoft Office Suite
