The Role

We are currently seeking to engage an experienced Estimator to join our Perth Painting Services team.

As a Estimator you will contribute to the Branch sales through the preparation of timely and accurate estimates in line with Programmed Property Services policies and procedures. Within this estimating procedure, it is key for the incumbent to actively communicate the risks and mitigation strategies within the estimate in order to allow operations to successfully deliver all contracted work with zero harm and meeting budgetary requirements.

The main functions of this role include:

  • Carrying out detailed building appraisals on varied sites
  • Preparing detailed estimates/quotations for building painting maintenance and repairs using internal software systems
  • Negotiating with contractors and service providers
  • Regular contact with clients to develop and negotiate clear project scope of works and documentation

You will ideally possess the following attributes:

  • A proven track record in the building industry as an estimator, project manager or similar role
  • Highly computer literate and mathematically competent
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills & time management skill
  • Ability to learn new things and work in a successful team environment
  • Regular travel within South Australia to regional areas
  • Ability to work at height, in confined spaces and difficult access locations
  • A qualification in painting, building or other relevant discipline would be highly regarded

A current Australian Driver's license is also required.
