About the role

With one of our star team members accepting an exciting development opportunity internally, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Telecommunications Engineer.

Joining our supportive and multidisciplinary Telecommunications Design Team, you will play a key role in supporting the design of telecommunication projects for Powerlink’s High Voltage Transmission network.

Working with a range of bearer technologies and optical transmission systems, you will join us as we embark on a significant program of work to expand and upgrade our existing and future telecommunications networks. In doing so, you will provide expert design support and advice, and you will be monitor and control cost, time, scope, quality, resources and risk for each project “package of work” assigned to you.

About you

You are well versed in telecommunications design disciplines, undertaking telecommunications design projects and tasks in some of the areas of multiplexing systems, MPLS-TP, fibre optic, protection signalling, microwave, mobile radio, and power line carrier.

With a Degree in Engineering, you have experienced previous success supporting telecommunications design projects on time, on budget and with a focus on quality, as well as providing expert advice. Experience in the power industry or other critical infrastructure will be highly regarded.

Also critical to your success in this role, will be your ability to communicate and manage time effectively to achieve tight deadlines in a multi-functional project environment.
