Job Description

CHE Proximity is looking for a new breed of Solution Architect

A Solution Architect that loves software engineering, data and technology, creativity, problem solving, communicating with clients and is an opportunist for learning in a fast pace environment. Change is something they thrive on and moving fast keeps it interesting for them.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Scoping technical requirements, produce software and infrastructure architecture, feasibility of concepts and projects.
  • Work closely with Director of Engineering, other Architects, Digital Producers, Digital Designers, UX Designers, Developers and QA Testers.
  • Use exceptional interpersonal skills to establish best practices and processes for the department.
  • Working hands-on on with AWS and/or GCP.
  • Coach and develop junior developers.
  • Capable of technical consultation and communication with senior agency and client stakeholders.
  • Capture technical requirements client projects.
  • Enhance functional and technical specifications carried out by other Solution Architects and Director of Engineering.
  • Work with the Head if Digital Operations and Digital Project Management team to ensure projects are correctly and adequately resourced.
  • Comfortable with Linux and Windows environments.

HOW WILL WE KNOW YOU ARE THE ONE?

Mandatory technical capabilities:

  • Current/Previous experience as a Solution Architect.
  • Experience designing solutions for a Marketing Automation platform (such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, SAP Hybris or other).
  • Extensive experience working across AWS or GCP technologies across a variety of client verticals.
  • Experience with establishing the following frameworks and development practices:
    • Experience with at least one programming language: Java 8+, C# (.NET Core), TypeScript or Python.
    • Either one of the following:
      • AWS experience with essential services:
        • Compute: Lambda, EC2 and ECS.
        • Storage: S3, EFS, RDS and Dynamo DB.
        • Security: IAM, ACM and KMS.
        • Networking: VPC, ELB and CloudFront.
    • GCP experience with essential services:
      • Compute: Cloud Function, AppEngine, Compute Engine
      • Storage: BigQuery, Big Table, Cloud Storage and Cloud SQL
      • Security: IAM, KMS, Secret Manager
      • Networking: VPC, Load Balancer, Cloud CDN
  • Git and Git Flow.
  • Ticketing systems (Jira, Trello).
  • CI/CD experience (any pipeline).
  • API First development and API Document system (Swagger is a bonus).
  • Documentation and diagraming (Confluence, Lucidchart/Visio)
  • Unit-testing, automated backend testing and smoke testing.
  • Fundamental understanding the concept of Front-end's SPA (React / VueJS) and front-end application lifecycle.
  • Comfortable working in Agile/SCRUM/Lean workflows

Desirable capabilities

  • Past experience working in an Agency environment.
  • Experience with advanced AWS and GCP services such as
    • RedShift, EKS, SageMaker etc.
    • Auto AI/ML, Kubernetes Engine.
    • Experience leading a technical team.
    • Experience with front-end development.
