Golder has a new full-time opportunity for a Junior Geotechnical Engineer, based in Brisbane. You will be working on a variety of civil and mining infrastructure projects in Brisbane and across QLD. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The salary will be around $65k to $75k and based on experience.

Key Duties And Responsibilities Will Include

• Geotechnical investigations including desktop and field investigations;
• Carrying out general field and office assignments under supervision;
• Assisting with project planning and preparation of technical deliverables under supervision;
• Assisting in production of proposals to help win new projects;
• Completing inductions and pre-requisites as required;
• Conducting work in a safe manner;
• Conducting all work to satisfy all company, client and government conditions, policies, procedures, regulations and standards as required;
• Work across other disciplines and ad hoc duties as required. 

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related discipline;
• Ability to conduct fieldwork activities including site investigations, soil logging and other activities including soil and groundwater sampling;
• Analytical and problem solving skills, coupled with ability to manage time effectively;
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborate team environment and on your own when required; and
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and well developed interpersonal skills.
