JOB DESCRIPTION

Career opportunity in an asset management services consultancy. Join a team who values your leadership and actively invests in your development.

Company
Our client provides a range of asset management consulting, technology and support solutions to asset-intensive organisations. Founded 10 years ago, they have earned an outstanding reputation for delivering solutions to a variety of blue-chip organisations within the power generation, oil and gas, mining and manufacturing industries. Due to current project requirements and ongoing growth, they are looking for an enthusiastic and likeminded Reliability Engineer with heavy industry experience to join their small practice and work within a collaborative and supportive team.

The role
Initially supporting existing maintenance strategy optimisation initiatives within the power generation industry, you will work collaboratively with internal and client stakeholders to facilitate Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) activities. Together with the reliability project team, you will work closely with site engineering and maintenance teams to identify, manage and implement opportunities for improvements around plant, process, performance and cost optimisation.
As a Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Provision of frontline support to maintenance teams on reliability investigations to inform maintenance strategy changes
  • Interrogation of production delay and maintenance systems to analyse equipment performance
  • Preparation of proposed reliability improvement scopes of work and programmes for improvement
  • Application of FMEA / RCM techniques to optimise the maintenance strategies and detail maintenance tasks
  • Management and change control of analyses within reliability software solutions
  • Deployment of new or modified maintenance strategies into client CMMS / EAM systems
  • Supporting application of new condition monitoring techniques and advanced predictive analytics solutions

You will be rewarded by joining a multidisciplinary team who will value your input and leadership, and actively invest in your development.

You
As a successful candidate you will either have tertiary Engineering qualifications (Mechanical or equivalent) with a strong focus on reliability methodology, or have a practical maintenance background with reliability specific training.
Your reliability experience will include maintenance strategy optimisation / development initiatives within a heavy industry environment. A working knowledge of power generation related assets, their failure modes and how to best apply maintenance strategies is an advantage.

Well versed in using maintenance reliability methods, you will have demonstrated capability using reliability software solutions to conduct FMEA and RCM analyses. Your effective communication and stakeholder management skills ensure that you are comfortable coordinating and facilitating review sessions in a group environment.

You will have a practical working knowledge of CMMS / EAM solutions, essential to the deployment of your optimised maintenance strategies. Supporting data analysis activities, you will have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and it would be great (but not essential) if you also have SQL/database or Power Query / PowerBI experience.

Please note that as a client facing role, occasional travel within Australia will be required.
