ABOUT THE BUSINESS

Our client is a well known and leading Civil Engineering Contractor based southwest of Sydney's CBD. Due to expansive growth within the business, they’re looking to recruit a Senior Estimator to continue their future success and further growth. They specialize in civil construction and bulk earthworks for large Tier 1 & 2 projects typically in commercial infrastructure projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be responsible for Estimating potential contracts, networking and building new contacts within the industry this may include clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors. A compelling opportunity to work across large-scale projects up to $500million. This would be an office based role but would include some travel around Sydney when required so no two days will be the same.

You will be responsible for:

• Sourcing and negotiating prices from suppliers and sub-contractors
• Providing exceptional service to Clients and Stakeholders
• Previous experience within Estimating for Civil Works
• Attending Pre & Post tendering meetings
• Preparing compelling bids towards tenders
• Working alongside senior Estimating staff members

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or Tafe qualification within civil construction
• Experience within a similar capacity of estimating for large civil works projects
• Experience within estimating software would be highly regarded
• An ability to work autonomously
• A sound understanding of costs relating to civil works
• A positive attitude that promotes success
• Strong people skills as the role is client facing
• White card
• Drivers Licence
