This position is responsible for:

The position of Grounds and Stables Maintenance Tradesperson is responsible for the day to day maintenance of the Darwin Turf Club stables, grounds and machinery.

Specific Responsibilities

· Ensure the grounds and stables and surrounds are maintained to the highest possible standard.

· Repair and maintenance of grounds and stables

· Operate and maintain plant and equipment

· Ensure that all grounds are presented at the highest possible standard.

· Water, cut grass, fertilise, & conduct any other grounds/landscaping maintenance

· Ensure you are working in line with occupational health and safety procedures set by DTC

· Ensure the stables and surrounds are up to standard for both racing, trackwork and safety

· Additional duties as required

Essential Qualifications & Experience

· Trade qualification preferred

· Forklift ticket & HR license

· Experience on Welders, Power tools, Lawnmowers & machinery

· Grounds and/or landscaping maintenance experience

Key Personal Attributes

This is a position that requires excellent communication skills. The individual needs to have attention to detail and good quality workmanship skills. They need to be fully available between June and August as no leave will be approved during this busy period. Weekend availability and the ability to be flexible with hours worked is also essential.

Salary: $47,132.00 - $57,606.00 per year
