Estimator

As Estimator at Eternity Tiles you will be responsible for providing estimate costs for residential, commercial or civil construction projects. Your input may determine whether a project goes ahead or not as you will be considering expenses for things like materials, labour and equipment. Your input is required before a job can even start.

Office location

Our office is located in Malaga, Western Australia and your work will predominantly be at this location. However, some days you will be in the office collating data and preparing reports, other days you will be out and about inspecting current and potential projects. 

Duties

Work with managers to evaluate scope, value and timeframe of projects and budgets

Prepare, evaluate and lodge tender documentation

Create and interpret project plans

Work from plans, drawings and other documents

Incorporate building codes and standards to the construction costs

Identify and produce estimated costs for building and construction projects

Manage and monitor budgets for existing projects

Produce labour and material schedules for ordering

Estimate the equipment, manpower and materials required to complete a job

Ensure job specifications and standards are met

Essential

Highly articulate in written and spoken English

Able to prepare tenders

Have a careful, methodical and accurate approach to work

Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a range of personalities

Display focus and forethought

Be a problem solver

Have excellent math skills

Have good computer skills and the ability to learn and use technical computer programs

Work to a deadline

Current drivers’ licence (or able to obtain)

Qualifications + Experience

A degree in a related discipline e.g. construction, architecture, building management or at least 3 years’ experience with tiling products.

Desirable

Ability to communicate in Mandarin.

Conditions + Salary

$60-70,000 pa. 4 weeks leave plus conditions as per the National Employment Standard (NES).
