We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Engineer Track be a part of network maintenance within Sydney Trains. This position plays a key role in network maintenance business strategy and reports to the Senior Manager Track Engineering.


  • Lead the Regional Track Engineering team; driving SPCAE behaviours and a high performance culture
  • Provide Track Engineering Services to the Network Maintenance Bases
  • Provide oversight of all discipline specific engineering and maintenance work within the Region, in particular the coordination of Routine Maintenance and Major Periodic Maintenance that directly affects safety and reliability
  • Drive continuous improvement and consistency in engineering process within the Track discipline


You will have a degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or substantial equivalent Track Engineering experience coupled with strong leadership. Negotiation and mentoring skills. You will have an expert understanding of Track maintenance, construction and commissioning works and associated impact and risk to the operation and maintenance of Track network. Graduate membership to Engineers Australia is desirable but not essential.
